Events of the second half of 2023
Homes with our roof to children's nurseries!
On June 5, 2023, we partnered with Chem of Plumbers, Roofers and Carpenters and Vinkler Timber Buildings installed two children's houses in MŠ Jílové u Prahy and MŠ Stará Hut' u Dobříše.
The wooden houses, measuring approximately 2x2 m and with a gable roof, carried aluminium roofing supplied by us COMAX Falc with a PES TEXT "MAT" finish that has excellent scratch resistance, modern design, textured appearance and prevents sunlight glare.
The teachers and especially the children from both nurseries were thrilled with the whole process of building the houses and after their very quick installation, they immediately set about exploring and inhabiting them. 😊
We are very happy to have been part of the realization of this project, which certainly made many people and especially the children very happy.
We thank Cechu KPT and Woodworks Vinkler for the great cooperation and wish that the houses will serve for a long time and make children happy, maybe for several nursery generations? 😊
Excursion of future plumbers from Stochov
On 29.6.2023 we were visited by an excursion of first year students of plumbing from Secondary School of Services and Crafts from Stochov.
After a welcome in the showroom and some refreshments, they were treated to a presentation by the branch director Karel Fišer and further led by technical specialist Petr Novák. The students learned a lot of information not only about the history of our company, but also about the theory behind the production, types and use of our roofing products. In the final part of the presentation, the students had an interactive knowledge competition in Kahoot, where they refreshed several partial questions from the theoretical demonstration and the three best students received a material gift.
After the roughly one-hour presentation, the students were treated to a practical demonstration of plumbing work in the production hall under the guidance of Mr. František Žíla, who gave the apprentices a hands-on demonstration of working with falcated roofingCOMAX Falc, where they were able to see and try out the processing of the prepared details on the model. This part was very informative and really warmly received by all. This is a core skill that apprentices need to learn and will accompany them in their day to day practice.
The practical part continued after lunch when a demonstration of modern hand profiling machines profiling the standing groove of the falc and the creation of a chimney template was scheduled.
We are very happy that our company could serve as an inspiration and also a proper motivation for the students in their further plumbing learning.
METAL TRADE COMAX became a sponsor of the football camp in Doksy
We like to sponsor and support sports activities of individuals and whole teams. This time we supported a football camp, which was attended by nearly 80 young footballers who trained hard for five days under experienced and patient coaches, played matches and prepared for the next steps in their budding careers.
And who knows, maybe in a few years we will see some of them in one of the league matches on TV?
UK CONSTRUCTION WEEK 3 - 5.10.2023
This year we participated for the third time in a row in the UK CONSTRUCTION WEEK in Birmingham, England, in cooperation with CzechTrade, when we were part of the Czech exporters' stand.
The participation of visitors at the fair was really strong this year, with the primary attraction being the exhibition's tin house, which was the main landmark of our stand. The team of K. Fišer, P. Brown and M. Hora, answered a large number of enquiries from those interested in quality metal roofing and helped to further develop our business across the Channel.
The first part of the plumbing days
From 11.12.to 13.12.2023, nearly 60 participants completed the basic part plumbing days. The interested professionals, tradesmen and students traditionally started the morning session with theory in the meeting room and went straight to the hall in the afternoon, where they were treated to a practical demonstration of the manufacture of plumbing details - guttering, composite pockets and chimney flashings.
We are delighted with the high level of interest from all attendees and we are pleased to be able to provide quality training for all generations, not just age and career.
The two-day plumbing SPECIAL days begin in early January 2024 and are fully booked and we are already looking forward to seeing all attendees.
